Frequently Asked Questions
We are a hidden gem located inside Highgate Shopping Centre. Shop 7, 453 Fullarton Road Highgate. There are 3 entry points.
- Centre entrance between the post office and Hairdresser
- From the car park off Invergowrie Avenue
- From the car park off Carlton Street
Movement classes run for 50 mins.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to introduce yourself to your instructor and settle into the space.
We have a bathroom and shower on site so you can freshen up after a sweaty session and head straight off to work.
Ample parking available behind the centre accessible from Ivergowrie Avenue and Carlton Street. As well as plenty of spaces in the surrounding streets.
Wear what you feel most comfortable moving in, no buckles or sharp edges on clothing. We train barefoot or in socks.
Bring a towel, water bottle and notebook for Workshops. We provide all of the equipment you need.
We recommend moving with us 3-5 times a week. This will vary depending on your past training history and level of commitment. Our sessions are designed to allow you to move daily.
While all movers are welcome, for your safety and the safety of others, we require that you have the ability to get on and off the ground without assistance. If you struggle with this, please first visit us at MOTUM Health or consider our clinical MOTUM classes.
We focus on developing full range of motion using movement on the ground, body weight, weights, hanging and challenges with coordination tasks. At MOTUM, it’s not how you look, it’s how you feel and the long term health of your joints and all of your connective tissues. Unlock your true strength and flexibility, develop your coordination, balance and control and most importantly… have fun!
You have to be over the age of 16 to participate in MOTUM classes.
For consideration of your fellow movers we ask that you please arrive on time. A mindful beginning paves the way to a purposeful practice. However we understand that life happens, 5 minutes will be allowed at your instructor’s discretion.
If your preferred class is fully booked, simply join the waitlist on the app. If someone cancels you’ll be notified and get the opportunity to opt in for the class. When you set up your account please be sure to tick text and email notifications because this is how we’ll contact you for any booking or scheduling changes. If you can’t accept the offer please decline as soon as possible to pay it forward to your fellow movers.
For group classes, you are required to cancel your booking at least 8 hours before the scheduled class time; and
for private classes, you are required to cancel your booking at least 24 hours before the scheduled Class time.
We do not take cancellations via email or phone. All bookings must be managed through the MOTUM Studio App.
Cancellation / no show studio policy
- Casual or class pack holders forfeit the cost of the class with no additional charge.
When you book a class you’ve made a commitment to us and to yourself to move better.
Packs and memberships are non refundable and non transferable. However, we understand that life happens (holidays, moving house etc) to help us help you we can pause your membership for a holding fee of $7 per week to maintain your current membership level. If you are struggling with an injury or extenuating life circumstances please reach out.
A Periodic Member may suspend/pause their Periodic Membership for up to three weeks within a six-month period by providing written notice to MOTUM Studio. Written notice must be given at least 10 working days before the Membership recommences.

Group classes at MOTUM Studio are not claimable on private health. If you’re looking for a claimable option, consider our Clinical MOTUM Classes at MOTUM Health in Payneham.
